Having a treehouse is the dream of many…both children and adults.
Just few kilometers from New York, the Sharon Devis Design architectural firm designed Garrison Treehouse, an extraordinary two-levels play space hanging in the greenery. Entry to the first floor is via climbing net and the trap-doors. Inside, a functional ladder leads up to the upper floor terrace, where you can enjoy an amazing view of the green surroundings. To descend from the structure, you can use the slide connecting the two floors and the structural columns-turned-fire poles.
The whole treehouse interior consists of polycarbonate, while the exterior of cedar.
Stainless steel was used for the bearing structure and for some interior details. And what about you? Have you ever thought of building a treehouse for you or your children?
