Therasia Resort Sea&Spa*****, in Vulcano…
Finally it’s time to tell you with pictures and comments about my stay at Therasia Resort Sea&Spa *****.
Sicily enchanted me: it has something special… I!!I enjoyed the welcoming people, the nature and, above all, the excellent food!! Let’s start the story from the beginning! Let’s start the story from the beginning!
After several hours of travel, I finally arrived in Vulcano, a small island of the Aeolian Islands immersed in the beatiful sea of Sicily. To welcome me at the harbour, there was the Therasia Resort Sea&Spa***** Staff, always providing guests with any kind of comfort and attention.
Arrived at the hotel, they served me a fruit cocktail at the poolside. The view is really suggestive: the infinity pool becomes a natural extension of the sea…
I will never forget that view.
Framing the resort, there’s the Aeolian Archipelago and its islands of Lipari, Salina, Stromboli, Panarea, Alicudi and Filicudi.
To build the hotel, only local materials have been used: lavic stone from Etna, Sicilian terracotta and handmade natural stone coming from Sicilian quarries.
And then the new Spa Centre! Guests can relax themselves in the indoor swimming pool or can let go to the energy of the hydro-massage, sauna, turkish bath and emotion shower.
Guests can also rely on the expert hands of a qualified staff for a massage session or a beauty treatment. Francesca and Valentina perform face and body treatments, relaxing massages using advanced techniques with perfumed oils relieving tiredness and stress.
As Ms Marica Castigliola, Spa Manager, explained me, the treatments are performed using their own products, made of the natural ingredients of the island, such as the prickly pear (firming and toning agent), the caper (antioxidant, soothing and anti-inflammatory agent) and the Malvasia grape extract (nutritive and emollient properties).
…At sunrise and sunset you can have a massage outdoors, while enjoying this unforgettable view…
Therasia Resort& Spa ***** also offers excellent food, from the great breakfast to the eno-gastronomic cuisine offered by the 4 restaurants: “Il Faraglione”, “I Grusoni”, “l’Arcipelago” e “Il Cappero”…
But this deserves another chapter.
Have a nice day…
