Mauritius, Oceano Indiano.
A typically tropical climate with winds blowing from the South-East, the hot and damp summer period alternated to a hot and dry winter going from May to November.
This week I take you to Mauritius to visit a wonderful design resort on one of the most beautiful beaches of the island: Shanti Maurice – A Nira Resort.
In particular, I’m going to talk you about two kinds of accomodations that Shanti Maurice – A Nira Resort offers his customers, without omitting the exclusive services they propose, not least, the refined and excellent cuisine.
You ‘ve got to know that the Executive chef of Willibald Reinbacher resort buys almost exclusively from local suppliers of fish, fruits and vegetables and uses herbs and vegetables grown in the estate, in order to offer sustainable, seasonal dishes, supporting the local businesses. Shanti Maurice’s guests have got a wide range of choices at their disposal: Stars, the resort’s auteur restaurant proposing a Cape Malay, contemporary cuisine and a rich South-African wine menu, using products coming from the surroundings. Pebbles, a restaurant that, besides a healthy cuisine, serves genuine Mauritius dishes. Finally, the Fish and Rhum Shack gives the possibility to eat on the beach in an environment inspired to the old fishermen’s meeting places with the incomparable background of the ocean.
Let’s talk about the suites, now. In particular, about the Luxury Suites Villas: they are provided with a wide private space, both inside and outside, including a private swimming-pool, just a few metres far from the ocean.
To make all the rooms have been used local materials in order not to alter the island, exalting its natural features.
Shanti Villa Una, among the most wonderful villas on the island, isolated from everything and everybody, provided with a private swimming-pool, a Jacuzzi, two bathrooms, wide inner spaces and a breathtaking view on the bay.
A real cross-experience inside nature on an island which gets together mountains and ocean, design and land care.
