If for many people the party atmosphere ended about a week ago when the Salone del Mobile shut its doors, we can’t say the same for Giorgio Graesan&friends’ Showroom!
I visited it a few days ago and those who follow me on the socials, on Snapchat in particular, know it well!
A real paint revolution by Giorgio Graesan&friends, using varnishes, brushes and paints!
Let’s start from the beginning, telling about the festive atmosphere we breathe there.
We are in via Vittorio Pisani 16, to be clear, in the street leading from the station to the centre of Milan. If you walk leaving the station behind, you will find the shop on your left. I assure you that you will be able to recognize it at once!
Every day, from 4th April to 1st June, it’s a constant party. Just in front of the shop was prepared a proper space where four decorators paint a section of the wall, daily, using the paints of I’stinto’ line.
In the following pictures you can see some of the works made last Wednesday, just when I was there:
For instance, the artist who painted the part of the wall below explained us that to obtain the effect you see, he used a classic pad alternating some semicircles to horizontal lines.
The following work, on the contrary, is the result of three effects: the first one obtained using a crocodile roller (the part you see in green), the second one with a broad knife called bamboo (the brown part) and the third one with a synthetic pad (the white nuances).
Thus, every day, until 1st June, four painters will measure themselves against something like a challenge and every evening will be declared the winner. If you happen to pass nearby, stop just to have a glance at their very smart Showroom and discover something more about their paints. Maybe, they might be useful if you decided how to paint your house.
